The city comprises of a Jain temple and here is the place where is where the designed feet of the god Vasupujya Tirthankara is and here he attained got salvation. It is said that this temple was built up once in the past by the ruler Srenika Maha Rajah and in the front of that temple stood two turrets and blocks of the stature of two coconut trees.
Mandar Parvat is about 700 feet high. It is located 30 miles from the town of Bhagalpur in Bihar. There is a railway that connects the city with Mandar Hill.
